TOM BRANTLEY

Tom Brantley is an award winning fiddler from Loudon, Tennessee. He now makes his home on his farm near Wartrace, Tennessee, where his great grandfather started a new breed of horse back at the turn of the 20th Century, The Tennessee Walking Horse. Tom still owns and raises Tennessee Walking Horses on the same ground where it all began so many years ago, but his love for horses only parallels his love for Bluegrass Music, and he has proved this by being awarded time after time for his fiddle playing. In 1989, he won the coveted first place award at The Galax Old Fiddlers Convention in Galax, Virginia. He has gone on to tour with great Bluegrass Bands such as, Lost Highway, Big Country Bluegrass, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, and gospel group New Road from music rich East Tennessee. He has also been a guest of Mike Snider on numerous Grand Ole Opry shows.

Tom also does the Saturday Morning Bluegrass radio show on WMSR AM 1320, Manchester, TN where he spins all the latest bluegrass CDs along with his son Daniel, who co-produces the show. Thanks Tom for playing our music in the Southern Middle Tennessee broadcast area, and otherwise supporting the endeavors of Williams & Clark Expedition.
