Thought I would let you all know that Blake and Kimberly Williams and Wayne Southards and Bobby Clark done a really good job performing down here for our Ben Lomand meeting on March 19th 2005. You all continue to keep up the good work. Hope to get to meet and see you all at another concert this year. Keep up the good work Love Rhonda Wanamaker from McMinnville Tennessee.

My wife and I heard you guys in Springfield in November for the 1st time. Great job! We bought 3 CDs and are enjoying them. God Bless! Brian Steffen, IL

If I were a voting member of IBMA (which I am not), I would nominate "The Old Kentucky Road" as Bluegrass Song of the Year ! Look forward to watching your performance at SPBGMA in a few days ! (Just one question : What type of Gibson banjo does Blake play and is this the only brand he likes ?) Thanks very much and here is my order for some of your music. Regards, Tom Snoddy Nashville

Absolutely smooth downhome bluegrass. I LOVE IT! Being a musician myself for 30 some odd years I'd like to say GOOD LUCK with your future.. Keep on Pickin. Terry Brown, GA

We heard you play at Springfield Il. and at Turkeytrack this fall. What a wonderful Bluegrass group. We purchased your 3 CD's and listen to them continuously. They are some of the best CD's we have. Kimberly has such a beautiful voice. Thank's for your music. Clancy & Linda Wymore, KS

We are huge country fans. We started the first country radio program here and would like to have autographed pictures and music from you. Please write back. Marvin and Mauricio Rojas, Costa Rica

I saw your performance at Silver City in Branson. Your music was the highlight of my visit to that town. I purchased the three CD package and play them tirelessly. I always hear something new in each song. I especially like the "New Ground" CD and look forward to your next offering! Please hurry! Thanks for your wonderful musical prowess...such a gift. Carole Sbordone, New York

Dear Kimberly, Blake, Bobby and Wayne
"Thank you" just doesn't seem like enough to say for the outstanding concert you presented here in Jonesboro last night.  The audience response was overwhelmingly positive.  In fact, I didn't hear a single criticism from anyone the entire night, and, believe me, our audience lets me know if there's anything, no matter how small, they don't like!  I appreciate too your willingness to wait for an hour to do two minutes of live TV here in Jonesboro, and I appreciate you putting up with me for such a long period of time through the day.  You guys are true professionals in everything you do, and you have raised the standard for the bands that perform in our concert series in the future.
I listened to the recording this morning, and I've begun editing it.  The recording sounds good...I hope to have a copy of the recording to you in the mail by the end of the week.
Thanks again for the wonderful show.  If there's ever anything I can do to assist you in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me.  And, if you're ever going to be back in the area again, please let me know.  You're welcome back here to perform anytime!

I had the pleasure of hearing you all again (for the second time) at the JAM'N BG Festival at the Preddy Farm. You all sounded great and I am enjoying your new CD. I hope to get to come see you in Lumberton..I think you are there in Oct or Nov. Just please pass on to the guys that I like your clean and clear sound and your song selections. Blake is quite the prolific writer...and you, Kimberly, sing like an angel. I really enjoy Wayne's guitar playing...and can't even think of how "Across the Blueridge mountains" used to go. As always, Bobby Clark is great on the mando.  Keep it up!

Bill- NC

Dear Mayor and staff,

Please accept our thanks for including the Lost and Found Band as a part of the wonderful festival Saturday.  We are most thankful to you and your entire staff, volunteers and security for all of their kindness and support to us and everyone there, and especially the Williams & Clark Expedition team.
We were amazed at the foresight and organization in creating a first time event. It seemed very successful, and we hope it was monetarily, as well, for the city.  We had a great time, and wish you continued success with this event.
Thank you again!
Allen Mills and the Lost and Found Band
Review of the Franklin Kentucky Music Festival – (Day One of Year One). As posted on the Rhonda Vincent Website Message Board September 11, 2004 What a great day and night! The very first day, of the first year event at Franklin, Kentucky was truly fantastic. A really big hat’s off, and congratulations to Kimberly, Blake, Bobby, and Wayne, of the “Williams & Clark Expedition” for doing such a wonderful job of producing and hosting this show for the City of Franklin. Yesterday’s artists consisted of Trayler Parker & the Propane Tanks, The Tennessee Mafia Jug Band, New Road, The Williams & Clark Expedition, Marty Raybon, and Rhonda Vincent & The Rage. The event was held in a beautiful park, under the biggest tent I have ever seen. The sound was good, and the daytime weather was ideal. There were several Ragers attending, as well as several members of our own Jackson Purchase Friends of Bluegrass, since this event is held only about 2 ½ hours from our home. The festival kicked off at noon, and the talent parade was very good. All through the afternoon, a very large and enthusiastic crowd enjoyed every band in turn, building up to the first performance by RV&R at 4:40 PM. This set was excellent as always, and included a special “Happy Birthday” song for our own Evan Ray Spencer, who by his own confession can never again truthfully claim to be thirty-nine and holding! Rhonda called Evan up to the edge of the stage as she, the band, and a large portion of the audience sang the happy birthday song. I admit I felt a bitter-sweet tinge in my heart at the time – bitter because our friend Gary Kennedy couldn’t be there to share this moment, and sweet because 40 is still so very young! Congratulations Evan, I know you had a very happy birthday. The band was very well received, and of course called back for an encore. The pleasing reception continued at the Martha White boutique, as the evening meal break gave way to a setting sun, falling temperatures, and t By the time RV&R came on for their second set, at around 10:40 PM, the audience had decreased by around 10%, and so had their enthusiasm. The band again did a great set, but we were sitting there in 58-degree weather, wishing for blankets and hot coffee. Rhonda helped us all get through this less than enthusiastic period by doing some of the tunes from the upcoming CD/DVD project, and then having Kimberly Williams and the Grammy Boy, Carl Jackson, join her on stage for a song from the Louvin Brother’s tribute project. It was fantastic! Carl stayed for another Bluegrass tune, and our buzz continued. After the set was finished, the group encored with “Rise and Follow Me”. What a fitting close to an already great day of music in Franklin, Kentucky. I did give some thought to staying over for Saturday’s show, but decided that the headline act for Saturday couldn’t possibly be any better than the band I went to see, so I headed home around 1:30 AM. That Saturday headliner is a fellow named Vince Gill - Tony Williams, KY

To the City of Franklin and to every event sponsor and contributor; to the staff and volunteers and to the vendors and performers:
Thank you so much for a job well-done on the first annual music festival in Franklin.
I don't know if I have ever been so comfortable at a festival and so entertained! Every detail was well-planned from the easy-to-spot signage pointing the way at every turn to the volunteers who 'chauffered' us from the parking area to the event area. I enjoyed the show from the largest tent I've ever imagined. The weather was very nice and I trust that even if it had rained, the tents would have provided shelter for everyone! Every volunteer was easily recognizable and helpful and friendly. I had the best time and the most fun. I can hardly wait until next year. I cannot imagine the hours of hard work that were spent on planning this event and I want to say congratulations and Thank you so much !

Sincerely,

Sheila Johnson Smith

WCE, I just want to thank you so much for the Franklin Music Festival. It was fantastic! The location, the facilities, the vendors and most of all, the music of the fabulous folks who participated. Can't wait til next year!!! Shiela smith, TN
Kimberley-- Congratulations on a *wonderful* festival. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Not the least of the pleasures was the chance to hear W&CE -- terrific group. I'd love a chance to program some spins for you on the show. Let's keep in touch. Best Erika "Barren River Breakdown" WKYU-FM

Heard ya'll for the first time at Station One and were instant fans. Love listening to your CD's and are interested in finding out more about your time in Raleigh,NC in June and Sept. We live outside Raleigh and would love to know more about the schedule when you will be playing. There are several bands but "we only have ears for you"!!! Now that was corny!! Anyway if you could possibly let us know when you will be on, that would be great. I am sure you just have all the time in the world to answer all these emails!! Ya'll are great. Thanks, Sandi Garner, NC

I saw your show at the Opry House in Mitchell,IN on 3/27/04. I enjoyed the show very much, bought four CD's and am looking forward to seeing you again. Best wishes on your future efforts. Thanks for a very enjoyable evening. Tom Case, IN

I heard this unbelievable music this afternoon on our country radio station here in Houston. I sat up and definitely took notice ~ I'm not certain what the song was, but the overall sound was just somethin' special! I made sure to hear who it was and not only heard the disc jockey say your group name, but also your website. I'm already hooked and don't even have any of your CD's. You can tell right away when a group has that certain, special thing and ya'll definitely do. I can't wait to order a CD and start listening and enjoying it. I'm a fan already! I noticed ya'll were going to be performing here at the Steak & Ale bluegrass night. Great! I'm definitely planning to be there. Lisa Renee, Texas

Just attended your show at Steak & Ale, Houston. It was great-one of the best shows I have seen in years and I'm thinking I will saddle up and head to KY for your festival, via the Station Inn of course. Larry Jones, TX

My Mom and Dad and I saw you at the Grand Ole Opry Saturday, August 16. It was very hot outside, but you didn't let that bother you. We were amazed! You have a wonderful sound and we really enjoyed listening! Robyn Owens, Bernard & Darlene Huff, IN

I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed Williams & Clark Expedition. If you enjoyed performing for us half as much as we enjoyed the performance, you went away with some good memories. I purchased the 4 CD set and have been listening to them since last Saturday's concert. It was one of the best purchases I ever made. The only thing wrong was that there were only 10 songs on your New Ground CD. There should have been 30 or 40 songs on that sucker and on all the other albums also. I could go on but I am beginning to sound like a breathless teenager about to pass out from hyperventilation. Please tell all the members of the group, "Thank for a wonderful evening of entertainment."

Once again, thank for such a great performance. I hope you win the IBMA award, you deserve it.  Your group is destined to be one of the movers and shakers of the bluegrass community.

If I or the association can ever be of any help, please let me know. We all look forward to, and hope you will consider, a return engagement.

I'm really enjoying your cd's and am so looking forward to seeing you play again. Your website is excellent! I wish you all the best! Daryl Blunier, IL

Caught the show in Lumberton last night (7/26) and was blown away by both you and the Wells Family. As far as you are concerned, usually a group is known as either excellent musicians or great singers. You are indeed the total package! I will be ordering CD's. Mac McCaskill, NC

Really enjoyed your show in Lumberton, NC on 7/26/03. We hope to have you back again soon. Roger Sessoms,1st. VP Lumber River Regional Bluegrass Assoc.

We heard you at Lumberton, NC. and really enjoyed the show. Hope to see you again soon. Pete and Susan Williams, NC

I am not a DJ, just a musician. I liked Born To Roam and one other song of WCE I happened to hear on WDVX web radio. Hearing a few bars of "Born to roam" were enough for me to realize this is something so good and fresh sounding, all my friends who play bluegrass should be familiar with this album/band.

I am really charmed to know the WCE and wish you the growing and deserved attention and even more success in future.
Best regards, Mike Hromcik- Czech Republic

Hi y'all: We caught your act at Dollywood and loved it. Good luck, keep us informed of your career, especially if you should be in California soon. Paul Frazee, CA

I have enjoyed your music, energy, and style ever since you performed at our family reunion in April 2003. Your sound is truly heartwarming, fun, and family friendly. Your talent is second only to my three year old that enjoyed sharing your stage performing his version of "Itsy Bitsy Spider". God Bless-Jenny Page, VA

I heard the 89.9 FM WDVX (WDVX.com for those readers outside the Knoxville area who might want to listen to a great radio station) broadcast of your show at Barley's. Unfortunately I couldn't get to that one in person. Come back soon so I can!-Peter Scheffler-TN

Blake and group...I am really enjoying your music. Glad to see you are playing the banjo (commercially) again and I especially enjoy Kimberly's vocals. The instrumentals (Wayne and Bobby) and vocals are all top notch. The live session in Knoxville broadcast on WDVX was outstanding! I look forward to getting to see the group in person.-Bill Brown, KY

See y'all at Bean Blossom. You did an outstanding job at Rosine.-Sam Jackson, TN

My wife, Bobbi and myself have listened to the CDs twice and they are Great!  The first time I thought New Ground was the best and my wife thought Born to Roam was better.  The second time we called them a draw.  The instrumentals were also outstanding, but we didn't try to rate them.
We liked the mix of the different music and believe this feature will keep the CDs "new" for a long time.
Our primary home is in Minnesota, but we have a Villa as well as some rental cabins in the Hidden Mountain Resorts in Sevierville.  This brings us to Tennessee every couple months and we just love Country and Gospel music.  This evening we were listening to "Fly Away Home" as we sat on our balcony looking at the Smoky Mountains.  The feeling was awesome-as if we were more a part of the mountains.-Jim Craig, MN

Bobby, it was a pleasure meeting you and hearing you play. The CDs are great! Come to Knoxville! -Jeff Sanders, TN

Hi Kimberly   .Thanks for the email schedule...checked it out and saw there were no Georgia appearances on it.....so sorry... I would like to know if you ever come down this way....We saw you at Dollywood and really enjoyed the show...take care and May God Bless.-Lanny Brooks, GA

Thank you for the newsletter and most of all your wonderful performances at Dollywood!  I hesitated to make your day a little longer by sending you a reply, but my wife and myself were SO excited by your Dollywood shows!  We attended your last two shows and bought the 4 CDs which we will enjoy.  We look forward to receiving future newsletters ( and I won't send you a reply unless there is something special like our enjoyment yesterday).
Best wishes and keep up the Good Work!  You are Great! -Jim Craig, Minneapolis, MN

Like your music. Saw you at Dollywood. Thank you for the email.-Maxie Hatcher, TN
