Eddie Stubbs

Former Johnson Mountain Boys Fiddler, Eddie Stubbs, in the last several years has established himself as one of the top Country Music DJs in the nation; a fact recently backed up by a CMA award for DJ of the Year. Eddie's love of traditional Country and classic Bluegrass drives him through a weekly schedule that would be considered grueling by most. Monday-Thursday nights broadcasting 8-midnight on WSM 650 and a regular Friday and Saturday night stint as Grand Ole Opry announcer would be enough work for most broadcasters. Throw in a 4 hour classic Country show every Saturday morning on WSM and a 3 hour show every week for WAMU/BluegrassCountry.org and Eddie is arguably the hardest-working DJ around.
Our hat is off to Eddie Stubbs, a walking encyclopedia of Bluegrass and Country music, who isn't afraid to throw in a Reno & Smiley classic or go "deep catalog".
