Canadian Tour 2006
Comments from our tour:
...what an awesome band! Woodslee, then Thamesford concerts this weekend....and I listened to your CD's all the way home! What a great weekend! Can hardly wait till I see you guys again! Enjoy the rest of the Canadian Tour. -----Darlyne Lounsbury Ontario, Canada
Saw your show in Ottawa, last night. Probably the finest bluegrass musicians I have seen. I've been playing 5 string for over 40 years, and I don't think I ever saw anyone as smooth on a banjo as Blake, while the rest of the group are just plain awesome. Bought all 3 CD's, hope this helps with the groceries, and I look forward to any new releases. Best of luck! & thanks for coming to Canada.----Craig Munro Ontario, Canada
We are sincerely thankful that you came to Espanola and shared yourselves and your music with us. It was a most memorable evening spent with 4 very warm, real, enthusiastic and talented people. I would personally like to thank you for your warmth, flexibility and ease to work and communicate with-------Much appreciated! Come back to Canada soon! Very sincerely, Ron Bartman. (M.C.).
What a pleasure to meet you when you were here in Ottawa last Monday night! I think you made a lot of new fans here in the Ottawa Valley and I’m sure they will enjoy hearing you again. As I said in front of your “encore”, you sing with poise, play with precision and perform with passion…an evening’s delight! Hope you had a grand visit to Quebec’s Eastern Townships (Waterloo) and the remaining venues on your itinerary…lovely to have you up for a visit here in eastern Canada. Do keep in touch and when your newest release becomes available, let me know so we can “showcase” it here on my “Back 40”.---Cheers, Ron Moores
Saw you in Kingston 03/22/06 .Put on a super show along with the Abrams Bros. Hope to see you again at one of the festivals sometime soon----Bob Ducette, Kingston, Ontario Canada

A very nice man invited us for breakfast at his Maple Syrup farm on our way to Waterloo, Quebec. Above left is a picture of the gift shop and some sap buckets attached to the maple trees. Above right is a view of the inside of his restaurant. They feed up to 1000 people per day on any given weekend!!
The men of WCE enjoyed breakfast with Brian, our new friend and owner of the maple syrup farm. Just look at that food! An authentic Canadian breakfast was served including pancakes, sausage, ham, bacon, fried potatoes and baked beans. Oh yeah, the maple syrup was incredible!!
Brian gave us a tour of the farm. Above right is where they cook the syrup and above left he is standing next to a maple tree where they are extracting the sap through those blue tubes. The farm covers about 100 acres.
Above left is an oriole nest. That's the men walking through the beautiful Canadian woods.
